Cooper West is the nom de plume of a cisgendered bisexual woman who thinks she would have been a drag queen if she was born with boy bits. She likes erotica, porn, hot men in kilts, thick women in bikinis, fandom, stouts and porters, and writing about sex. She is 40, single and owned by one cat. Also, she’s wearing black until they come up with something darker.

Or, as once described by a close friend:

“Cooper West is a funky and edgy woman of the female persuasion. She likes BIKES and MUSIC and boys who wear KILTS. Fuck that SKIRT action, KILTS, DAMNIT. And she writes WORDS about THINGS. Things that have WORDS to explain them. FUNK.”

I write erotica and romance in a variety of genres (modern romance, fantasy, supernatural, science fiction) in a variety of categories (M/F, M/M, poly M/F/M, poly F/M/F) and ratings (light romance to hardcore). I sometimes explore kinks and fetishes, but almost always within the context of a relationship, often romantically. My characters often cuss as much as you do, and have real-life issues that effect their relationships with everyone around them. I rarely write very violent stories, although the supernatural ones can get gory occasionally. I enjoy writing plotty stories where the characters have to overcome some kind adversity or another, but in the interest of full disclosure, I love happy endings and almost never write stories that end in tragedy.

I welcome feedback and interaction, but it will be moderated and trolls/flamers/haters will be booted. With prejudice. Please be respectful of others in this space, and let me handle the troublemakers.
